How do I know if I should be in therapy?

I believe everyone can benefit from therapy. It can be quite helpful to talk to someone in a neutral, judgement-free, and safe space.

What kind of therapy do you practice?

I practice from a feminist, relational, and trauma-informed lens, which in-part means that I view each client as a whole person by considering their journey and context and try my best to create a safe environment to hold space for anything a person may bring to a session. No topic is off-limits! In practice, I ultimately utilize an integrative approach and enjoy using Somatic Experiencing, mindfulness, expressive arts, Internal Family Systems, and dialectical-behavioral therapy (DBT). At the end of the day, there’s no one-size-fits-all to trauma work and the healing process.

Who are your clients?

I work with adults and women of color on a variety of trauma-related issues and topics.

What areas do you specialize in?

Areas I specialize in include:
Survivors of childhood trauma
Complex PTSD
Intergenerational trauma
Body image concerns
Perfectionism
Dissociation
Self-worth and self-esteem
Culture or identity-based trauma

What should I expect from my first session?

Once we have a consultation session and decide we are a good fit for one another, we will schedule our first session! Our first session will just be a time for us to further get to know one another to make sure I am the right therapist for you. We will also go over your rights as a client, informed consent, as well as how I view therapy and what the process will look like.

How often do we meet?

Counseling sessions are typically held on a weekly basis for new clients. It has been my experience that therapy is most effective when there is an early commitment to the process. This allows us to develop goals that fit your needs, build rapport, and gain momentum.

Where do we meet?

I offer both in-person and virtual therapy. In-person therapy is held at my office in Dallas, Texas. Virtual services are provided through a secure video platform. Online therapy services are available to all Texas residents. Online somatic coaching and consulting services are available anywhere in the world!

How much does it cost?

Rates are as follows:

$195 per 55-minute individual therapy or professional consultation session

$215 per Somatic Coaching session

$27 per Somatic Movement & Mediation Session

$75 Individual Somatic Experiencing personal sessions for SE students (not for credit at this time)

I am unable to accept insurance at this time.
